Service Β· Setting up an apartment

Setting up your apartment in Georgia β€” so that it becomes a home

The keys are yours and the suitcases are unpacked β€” and now the interesting part begins: furniture, repairs, internet, bills, doctors. Each of these has a simple answer if you know who to call. We know.

One question is fine. So is a two-page list.

Furniture and appliances
measuring, delivery, assembly
Our own tradespeople
at a price agreed in advance
Care of your apartment
while you are abroad, we meet the tenants
Tbilisi and Batumi
the cities we know best

The things the guides never mention

Guides tell you about visas and taxes. What actually wears you down is something else.

Each question is tiny on its own. Together they add up to the feeling that you are still a guest.

  1. Finding a tradesman who turns up and does not disappear.
  2. Working out where the water bill even comes from.
  3. Choosing an internet provider.
  4. Finding a doctor you are not afraid to trust your child with.
  5. Buying a decent mattress.

What we do

From a mattress to the water bill

Furniture, delivery and assembly

Measuring up, choosing furniture and appliances, delivery, assembly, installation. Curtains, lighting, the small things. In Tbilisi and Batumi we go to the furniture shops with you, or instead of you β€” whichever suits.

Repairs and tradespeople

Electrician, plumber, air conditioning, carpenter, cleaning after the work is done. People we have checked, a price agreed in advance, and one of us nearby to keep an eye on it.

Where Georgian is needed, we speak for you β€” with the electrician, with the building management, in the shop.

Internet, utilities and bills

Internet and television, utility payments, refuse collection, the conversation with the building management, the intercom, the keys. Set up once β€” after that it runs itself.

Doctors, clinics and everyday places

Doctors and clinics, a dentist, a vet, schools and kindergartens, a gym, a garage, a good market and a good bakery. The last two usually turn out to matter most.

Documents

We tell you what is issued where, help you book a slot and come along with you. If you need a specialist, we introduce you to one we trust.

Keeping an eye on your apartment while you are away

We keep an eye on the apartment: accept the finished work, pay the bills, meet the tenants and check that everything is fine after the rains.

We send photos and video, not a three-word report. This is the β€œeyes and ears on the ground” that many people write to us for in the first place.

How it usually looks

A list of chores turns into things that are done

01

You send us a list

Even a messy one: β€œwe need furniture, the boiler is dead, and I have no idea where this 40-lari bill came from”.

02

We break it into tasks

We say what we do ourselves, what the tradespeople do, and what you are better off deciding in person β€” and why.

03

We do it

We keep you posted, send photos, and agree anything that costs money before the money is spent.

04

We stay in touch

A tap will break in a month, and you will not have to start looking for somebody from scratch.

Why you can trust us

We live here and work with the same tradespeople we then use ourselves. Sending you a bad plumber would not pay off: you would simply stop writing to us β€” and tell everyone you know.

So we say it straight: what is worth doing, what is not, and where you are better off without us. Answers like that are worth more than any advertising.

Frequent questions

Asked most often

Can't find your question? Just write to us. Answering questions is part of the job too.

I did not buy my apartment through you. Will you still help me furnish it and sort out the everyday things?

Yes, of course. Where you bought it makes no difference.

Can I come to you with a single task?

You can. Sometimes it starts with β€œhelp me assemble a wardrobe”, and six months later we are looking after the whole apartment.

Do you buy the furniture yourselves?

We can go with you, we can go instead of you, or we can simply tell you where to look. Whichever feels easier.

Can you look after my apartment if I rent it out and live in another country?

That is a common story. Tell us what you need β€” anything from a check once a month to full care of the flat and meeting the guests.

What if you do not have the specialist I need?

We will say so honestly and go looking. We will not take on a job we cannot do properly.

How much does setting up an apartment cost?

It depends on what needs doing β€” a single errand and a whole apartment are different jobs. We tell you what it will cost before we start, and nothing is spent until you have agreed to it.

Do you work outside Tbilisi and Batumi?

We live here and work mostly in Tbilisi and Batumi. If your apartment is somewhere else β€” Kutaisi, Gudauri, a small town by the sea β€” just ask, and we will tell you honestly whether we have somebody there.

Still have questions?

Tell us what needs doing

A list, a voice message, one sentence β€” however it comes out. We will make sense of it. Write even if you are only looking around for now β€” it costs you nothing and commits you to nothing.

Or ask us to call you back

Leave a phone number and a couple of words about what you need. A real person calls back β€” usually the same day.

We reply within 5 minutesNo spam β€” just answers to your questions

A real person answers. We never pass your contacts on to anyone.
